Shinhan Life Insurance Vietnam Limited Liability Company has charter capital of VND 2,320 billion, is a life insurance company with 100% investment capital from Shinhan Life Insurance Corporation, Korea. Officially operating insurance business in Vietnam market from January 2022, Shinhan Life provides life insurance, health insurance and financial investment products and services.

Since 2021, Shinhan Life Vietnam has trusted and selected Pham Communications as the its PR agency. Since then, we have partnered with I-DAC Vietnam – the leading digital agency to implement the Integrated Marketing & Communications campaigns of the company in the Vietnamese market.

Situation

On January 21, 2022, Shinhan Life officially launched its brand in the Vietnam market. Amidst intense competition with 19 other companies, many of which have long-established reputations, Shinhan Life entered the market during an economic crisis, while the life insurance sector faced a crisis of customer trust in a rapidly developing market with double-digit growth for many years. As a newcomer, Shinhan Life’s challenge is to establish its differentiation and innovation to gain a competitive edge in the market.

  • Brand and Reputation Management: Develop strategies to enhance the corporate brand and reputation of Shinhan Life in Vietnam.
  • Integrated Marketing & Communication: Design and implement an annual Integrated Marketing and Communication plan to support overall business objectives.
  • Digital Marketing and Social Media Management: Execute lead digital marketing campaigns to effectively promote Shinhan Life’s products and services across various online platforms. Manage and enhance Shinhan Life Vietnam’s fan page.
  • Public Relations: Coordinate and execute PR activities for new product launches, CSR initiatives, CEO brand, and general company PR.
  • Copywriting services and PR booking.
  • Activation event: Create idea and implement activation events at shopping malls to engage potential customers, enhancing visibility, interaction with the brand and generate leads.
  • Media Relations: Strengthen relationships with local media through strategic engagements such as Media Days, year-end parties, and other relevant events.

Results

After more than two years of effort, the Shinhan Life brand has become well-known and beloved by Vietnamese families, and has also received great support from the local media. As of May 2024, Shinhan Life brand has been featured and mentioned in about 1,500 articles and news, many of which are earned media pieces.

We simultaneously maintained strong performance of the Shinhan Life brand in the digital marketing campaigns, achieving significant growth in brand awareness, consideration metrics, and lead generation across social and digital channels: Fanpage has  33K followers, reached 3,7M people on Facebook, more than 116K people visited the fanpage.
